EHC & GPS Equipment

Electronic Home Monitoring has evolved in many ways since its beginnings in the 1980’s. Electronic Home Confinement (EHC) & Global Positioning Systems (GPS) can work at many different levels.

Voice Print Identification is the most affordable offender home monitoring system available.Voice Print Identification.
Voice print identification is the easiest, simplest and most affordable of the home monitoring systems. There is no equipment involved and enrollment of a client is fast and easy. Clients receive calls from the Monitoring Center Computer instructing them to call back. They have a short period of time to make that phone call which then identifies the callers voice using the Voice Print Identification Technology. Any missed calls are considered a violation. Clients who are allowed to work, attend school, treatment or other authorized events can also be monitored at those locations. This program does not require clients to remove special phone services and in some cases, cell phones can be used. Violations are then reported to the supervising officer via a phone call, text message, pager, fax or email.

Drive by receiver picks up the radio frequency of a client's ankle or wristbands.Drive By unit.
The special receiver allows Probation Officers to drive to places of employment, schools and other authorized areas and pick up the radio frequency of a client’s ankle or wrist bands to insure they are present. This device saves Probation Officers time and saves the client from embarrassment of personal visits at their approved locations.

Alcohol Unit.
The alcohol unit monitors clients for alcohol consumption at their home while on home confinement. It will randomly or on command test the client's breath for the presence of alcohol. This unit requires phone service in the client's home. A video camera provides the monitoring center with a clear view of the client as they are instructed to provide a breath sample therefore preventing false reports. Violations are reported to the Supervising Officer by a phone call, text message, pager, fax or email.

Our Visual Breath Alcohol Monitor is the only mobile breath testing device that produces results accepted by courts. Other testing systems, such as SCRAM, have to be re-tested on acceptable testing units to confirm the indication of alcohol use. Small Eagle's alcohol monitoring system eliminates those steps. It is accurate up to .005% BAC, which is exactly what the courts want to know. Our Visual Breath unit has no false positives. Small Eagle EHC, paired with our Visual Breath Alcohol Monitoring unit, save time and money making it the ideal match for your tribal justice needs.
Small Eagle's Alcohol Monitor is the only mobile breath testing device that produces results accepted by courts.

Visual Breath Alcohol Testing Key Features:
• Visual Verification. On-board camera utilizes infared LED's and enables
conclusive participant identification.
• Accuracy. Breath alcohol levels are detected within ± 0.005% accuracy.
• Simple Operation.
One-button, voice prompted operation reduces training time for officers and participants and lowers number of test retries.
• Customization. Agencies can specify if alcohol testing should be done on a scheduled, random, or on-demand basis. Automatic re-testing is also possible.

GPS Equipment: A GPS system (global satellite positioning technology) uses cell towers and/or phone lines to locate a monitored offender.

Passive GPS System.
On demand defender locator makes this an efficient and reliable option for gps tracking.
Passive GPS monitors a clients location throughout the day and sends a report to the Supervising Officer at the end of the day. The Supervising Officer can review the reports and maps to determine if the client has been in compliance with their sentencing requirements. Passive GPS confirms that a client is home during lockdown and at the locations authorized when away from home. Passive GPS is an excellent tool for clients who are a low to medium risk. Supervising Officers are notified immediately of any major violations detected by the system via a phone call, text message, pager, fax or email.

Active GPS System.
Active GPS is the highest level of client monitoring. With the use of GPS technology, the system checks the location of the client every few seconds. The location of a client on Active GPS can be determined immediately upon request. If a client if forbidden from being at a specific location exclusion zones can be established. Violation alerts will be received if the client enters these excluded areas. For example, if the client is a convicted sex offender exclusion zones can be set up around schools and victim's homes. Supervising Officers are notified immediately of violations via a phone call, text message, pager, fax or email.
